The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) funds a Visiting Professorship at the OSCE Academy since 2009. Until 2017 the Visiting Professor was part-time based at the OSCE Academy and part-time based at American University of Central Asia. The OSCE Academy’s current Director, Dr. Alexander Wolters, joined the team in 2013 as a Visiting Professor within the framework of this partnership. Since 2018 a newly formed Visiting Professorship is fully based at the OSCE Academy. In 2020 a new position of a DAAD Language Assistant was established at the Academy, to support the German-language instruction at our institute.
Within this partnership DAAD also funded a number of joint activities co-organized or hosted by the OSCE Academy. Among those are the Summer School “Post-Soviet Governance: Theories, Actors, Cases”, the Joint Small Pitching School, the DAAD – Research Symposium “Bioeconomy & Security”, and the DAAD Academic Writing Training.
