OSCE Academy and Global Campus Representatives visit Tashkent Universities and Institutions to Establish Partnerships

From 17 till 19 April 2023, the OSCE Academy and the Global Campus for Human Rights Delegations had meetings with the potential partners in Tashkent to discuss the possibilities to collaborate within the newly launched MA Programme in Human Rights and Sustainability (MAHRS). Global Campus Delegation was headed by Prof. Dr. Manfred Nowak, the Secretary General, accompanied by Prof. Dr. George Ulrich, Academic Director, and Imke Steinmann, Lecturer and Project Manager; the OSCE Academy was represented by Prof. Dr. Anja Mihr, DAAD Associate Professor and MAHRS Programme Director, Victoria Orazova, Head of the International Office and Karlygach Nurmanbetova, MAHRS Programme Specialist.

On 17 April the Delegation was hosted by the National Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights and welcomed by the Director of the Center, Prof. Akmal Saidov and his team.
On 18 April the visits were paid to the Law Enforcement Academy to meet Mr. Uygun Nigmadzhanov, Deputy Head of the Academy and his team; and Tashkent State University of Law and to meet Dr. Dilshod Umarov, Vice Rector and his team. 
On 19 April the University of World Economy and Diplomacy under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan welcomed the Delegation. Mr. Umid Yakubkhodjaev Dean of the Faculty of International Law, together with Professors of the International Law Faculty met the OSCE Academy’s and Global Campus’ representatives.

All four meetings were organized with aim to present new MAHRS Programme and discuss the possibilities for collaboration that would include the academic student mobility, lecturer’s exchange, hosting student internships as well as supervision of the master dissertations.
