On 5 June 2025, the OSCE Academy hosted the launch of the open access book published by the prestigious Springer publishing house, Bridging Borders: Central Asian Cross-Border Cooperation in a Comparative Global Perspective by Dr. Sergei Golunov from SDU University in Kazakhstan, and Dr. Assel Bitabar from Maqsut Narikbayev University in Kazakhstan. The book launch was held online and began with a brief introduction by Dr. Pal Dunay.

On 30 May 2025, a workshop dedicated to International Children’s Day was held with the support of the Global Campus of Human Rights and the Right Livelihood Foundation at the Abdykayir Kazakbayev Secondary School in Chym-Korgon village. The event was facilitated by Ms. Nazgul Kadyrova, BA Programme Specialist and lead facilitator of the Children’s Book Club at the OSCE Academy, and Ms. Kulsun Kulmatova, a Youth Advisory Group (YAG) member of the Global Campus Central Asia’s Children’s Rights direction.

On May 27 2025, the OSCE Academy hosted the first session of the Children’s Rights Book Club, launched as part of a broader project to promote children's rights through literature with support from the Global Campus of Human Rights and Right Livelihood Foundation. The participants were members of the Child Leadership Team, a group of motivated teenagers committed to learning about and advocating for children’s rights. The book club is a monthly series of themed sessions where participants explore key social issues through reading, discussion, and creative activities. The project aims to foster a love of reading while encouraging young people to think critically about real-world challenges and become active voices in their communities.

Dr. John Mikal Kvistad, Ambassador to Central Asia at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, paid a visit to the OSCE Academy, accompanied by Ms. Marte Lauvhjell, Senior Adviser of the Section for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation at the same Ministry. The guests were welcomed by Dr. Pal Dunay, Director of the OSCE Academy, Dr. Shairbek Dzhuraev, Deputy Director of the OSCE Academy, and Ms. Victoria Orazova, Head of International Department at the OSCE Academy.

She was accompanied by Ms. Ainur Argynbekova, Deputy Head of the Delegation of Kazakhstan to the OSCE PA, Ms. Femmy Bakker-De Jong, Secretary of the Delegation of the Netherlands, Ms Manuchekhr Salokhudinov, Senior Advisor, and Ms. Farimah Daftary, Senior Advisor.

This event was organized by the Research and Training Department at the OSCE Academy as part of an ongoing collaborative research initiative with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the CAREC Institute, and the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI).
