  • Dr. Mamadiev Chaired a Book Launch at the Event Dedicated to Helsinki 50 Organized by University of Siena

    On 13 November 2024 Dr. Bedelbai Mamadiev, Head of the Research and Training Department of the OSCE Academy, chaired a book launch session, titled "Italy-Helsinki 50: From the Helsinki Final Act of 1975 to the OSCE of Today," edited by Ambassador Stefano Baldi—Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the OSCE in Vienna from January 4, 2021, to September 15, 2024—and historian Luciano Monzali.

  • OSCE Academy Students Discuss Youth Perspectives and Projects at the OSCE Secretariat

    On 13 November 2024, the MA Students in the Politics and Security Programme had a guest lecture with Mr. Andrea Salvoni, Senior Advisor to the OSCE Secretary General and Ms. Assel Murat, Assistant Project Officer on Youth and Security and graduate of the OSCE Academy, who presented about the work of the OSCE Secretariat and youth perspectives and projects.

  • Students Discuss the Security Challenges in the Middle East and North Africa with Experts from NCCT and Bulan Institute

    On 31 October 2024, the OSCE Academy welcomed Mr. Noufal Abboud, a Director of the Nordic Centre for Conflict Transformation (NCCT) in Sweden and Dr. Cholpon Orozobekova, Director of the Bulan Institute in Switzerland.

  • Director of CAREC Institute Visits the OSCE Academy to Boost Collaboration

    On 24 October 2024, Mr. Kabir Jurazoda, Director of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Institute, and Ms. Aidana Bedibekova, CAREC Regional Officer in Kyrgyzstan, visited the OSCE Academy. Dr. Indira Satarkulova, Deputy Director of the OSCE Academy, Dr. Bedelbai Mamadiev, Head of the Research and Training Department, and Ms. Victoria Orazova, Head of the International Department, hosted honored guests and discussed cooperation for the coming year and beyond.

  • Austausch Representatives visit the OSCE Academy

    On 18 October 2024 the OSCE Academy welcomed Jacob Riemer, Second Executive Director Austausch, a German NGO, and Irina Bukharkina, Director of Programmes of Austausch. Dr. Indira Satarkulova, Deputy Director of the OSCE Academy, and Dr. Bedelbai Mamadiev, Head of the Research and Training Department met the guests and introduced the guests to the Academy’s activities. During the meeting, both parties have also discussed the possible ways of collaboration.

    On 15 October 2024 Mr. Cosimo Lamberti Fossati, Project Manager from the Delegation of the EU in the Kyrgyz Republic, and Ms. Adinai Kurmanbekova, Intern at the EU Delegation, visited the OSCE Academy to discuss the possibilities to collaborate. Distinguished guests met Dr. Pal Dunay, Interim Director of the OSCE Academy, Dr. Sebastian Mayer, DAAD Associate Professor, and Ms. Victoria Orazova, Head of the International Department.

    On 15 October 2024, BA Economics sophomores and juniors attended an expert talk at the OSCE Academy as part of the Global and National Economy course on the topic "Digitalization in Kyrgyzstan: Economic Prospects and Security Issues.”

  • CAGHAN Team Meets at the OSCE Academy

    On 8 October 2024, the OSCE Academy held an in-person meeting of the Central Asia: Governance, History, Anthropology & Neighborhoods (CAGHAN) team. The meeting was led by Dr. Jeroen Van den Bosch and Joanna Barszcz, representatives of the partnering Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland. Dr. Pal Dunay, Interim Director of the OSCE Academy, Dr. Indira Satarkulova, Deputy Director, and Mrs. Cholpon Osmonalieva, Head of the Education Department took part in the meeting on behalf of the Academy, a local coordinator of the CAGHAN programme, along with representatives of the International University of Kyrgyzstan that hosted the first day of the meeting on 7th of October.

    On 3 October 2024 the OSCE Academy had the honour to welcome H. E. Kaha Imnadze, Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Central Asia, the Head of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA), accompanied by Mr. Mirlan Mamyrov, Programme Officer, Representative of the UNRCCA in the Kyrgyz Republic.
