BA Students in Economics Pitch Their Socio-Entrepreneurial Projects

29 November, 2024

On 29 November 2024, BA junior students in Economics participated in a Social Entrepreneurship Pitching event.

The pitching event was led by Bermet Suiutbekova, a Social Entrepreneurship Teaching Fellow. This event tasked students with designing and developing innovative social enterprises from scratch and they formed three teams to present their ideas.

The first team "Chapter", proposed a cozy bookstore that offers patrons a unique experience—enjoying their favourite books while sipping on delightful beverages. The second team "Booster", developed an energy drink that not only revitalizes but also provides essential nutrition to enhance overall well-being. The third team "YouRise", created an online educational course aimed at empowering high school students as they prepare for their state exams and republic test, all while ensuring a good quality online learning experience.

This pitching event served as an invaluable opportunity for students to apply their classroom knowledge in a practical setting, and allowing them to explore the intricacies of social entrepreneurship.
