Deputy Director Participates in the Central Asian Rector’s Forum

On 20 November 2024, Dr. Indira Satarkulova, Deputy Director of the OSCE Academy, participated in Central Asian Rector’s Forum titled "Transformation of Central Asian Universities in the Context of Global Challenges" held at the presidential residence in Bishkek. This was already the third regional forum and was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region. The event was attended by more than 50 representatives from the whole region.

The Forum was opened by Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, who underlined that the universities should be the centers of innovations and sustainable development.  Within the three panel sessions, participants form Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan discussed the integration of the education and business, research capacities of the universities, as well as digital education.

As a result of the event, a number of memorandums and agreements on cooperation between several universities were signed, aimed at the development of integration and realization of joint scientific and educational projects in the region.
