Joint Review of the Sector of Higher Professional Education of the Kyrgyz Republic

On 27 March 2023, Acting Director of the OSCE Academy, Dr. Indira Satarkulova, took part in the event dedicated to the joint review of the higher professional education sector “Towards a transformation of the higher education system in the Kyrgyz Republic.” The event was organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic with the aim of discussing problems in the development of higher education institutions and ways to solve them, as well as identifying priority reforms for the joint efforts of all stakeholders and supporting the implementation of the Education Development Program in the Kyrgyz Republic for 2021-2040 (PRO). It is expected that the results of consultations and discussions will serve as a basis for planning reforms in the higher education sector in the country, as well as for planning the strategic orientation of universities. The event was also attended by representatives of government agencies, deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh, international organizations, representatives of business structures, independent experts and researchers, analytical organizations, media and accreditation agencies.
