Annual Policy Paper Writing Seminar

Policy Paper Writing Seminar

The Policy Paper Writing Seminar is designed to enhance the capacity of young scholars, activists and policy-makers in writing policy briefs on various regional topics. The course consists of subsequent online and in-house modules. Sessions include lectures, class discussions, group work, and peer-editing sessions. It is essential for regional development to work with local experts and scholars who know the region and can offer policy recommendations and solutions, but at times lack substantial experience and skills to present their ideas in the right format. Thus, the policy writing seminar is aimed at solving this issue and increase the potential pool of experts. Two trainers work simultaneously with the group on content, style and grammar. The format of the prgramme also allows to chose up to five high-quality papers to be published within the OSCE Academy's Policy Brief Series. The week-long programme is offered in English for participants from all Central Asian states, Afghanistan and Mongolia maintaining the OSCE Academy’s regional focus.
