Students of OSCE Academy met British Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan

On 1 April the OSCE Academy was honoured to welcome British Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan H.E. Charles Garrett, who visited the Academy to deliver a guest lecture to our MA students. The theme of the lecture was the Integrated Review of the UK Foreign Policy, published on 16 March 2021. Ambassador Garret presented the key points of the document defining the role of the UK in promoting the security and prosperity in the world over the next decade.

After the presentation students had an opportunity to ask questions and discuss the topics related to the UK’s role in spreading the democratic values after the Brexit;  the impact of Chinese Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) on the democratic developments in the world; UK-EU relation in post-Brexit times; domestic challenges to democracy and other important issues.
