OSCE Module held for the MA in Economic Governance and Development Programme

From the 18th to the 22nd of September, students studying in   the Economic Governance and Development Programme attended the OSCE Module, where they learned about the OSCE's structure and activities.  The OSCE module is part of the curricula for both master's programmes. Lecturers are selected from staff members of the OSCE missions in different countries. This year Mr. Murod Khusanov, National Project Officer of the Economic and Environmental Dimension/OSCE Project coordinator in Uzbekistan, Ms Nathalie Tran, Rule of Law Officer from the ODIHR, and Mr. Dmitry Prudtskikh, Environmental Officer of the Economic and Environmental Dimension at the OSCE Program office in Bishkek familiarized students with the dimensions of the OSCE and the OSCE concepts of comprehensive security, good governance, rule of law, and human rights.. In particular, students deepened their knowledge on the following topics:

- The CSCE - OSCE in its Evolution: Good Governance, Why it Matters
– Combating Corruption: Why, How and Where
– Combating Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing: It is All About Money
– Mainstreaming Rule of Law, and Civil and Political Rights in Economic Governance Matters
