| NewsPublic lecture on Great Power Competition and Cooperation over the XXI centuryMay 13, 2010 On the 29th of March Dr Graeme P. Herd - Co-Director of the International Training Course in Security Policy (Geneva Centre for Security Policy) and lecturer of the OSCE Academy in Bishkek delivered a public lecture on Great Power Competition and Cooperation over the XXI century. Lecture is spent for students of the Master of Arts in Political Science program (OSCE Academy in Bishkek ) and students of the master program on political science, and also listeners of the program on second higher education in "Diplomacy" (Diplomatic Academy at MFA). BIO: Dr Graeme P. Herd joined the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP) in November 2005. He is Co-Director of the International Training Course in Security Policy (ITC - 24). He organises an annual security policy seminar with the OSCE Academy, Bishkek, and the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI) in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Dr Herd has over 100 publications, including The Ideological War on Terror: World Wide Strategies for Counter Terrorism. The OSCE Academy in Bishkek has been created on the basis of the Memorandum of mutual understanding between the Government of the Kyrghyz Republic and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe and is the regional educational and research Centre in Central Asia. |
