Two ensuing seminars of the annual training series on Media and Democracy have been held: first training on 14 - 18 April 2008 and present second training held from 23 - 27 June 2008.

Practicing journalists from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan took part in the training program. The aim of this program is to contribute to enhancing professionalism and to accrue knowledge and skills of practicing Central Asian journalists in the field of democratic development of Media. As before, the leading training is Mr. Andre Loersch, trainer from the Swiss independent consultancy network Media4Democracy.

The program's content includes practical sessions on various journalistic styles, lectures on media and democracy, and lectures on politics, economy and the environmental situation of the Central Asian countries.
