25 October 2005, in the Conference Hall of the OSCE Academy in Bishkek a project called “Tajikistan: confidence building process between the Islamic and social spheres through dialogue as an instrument for conflict prevention in society” was presented. This project started in 2001 was financed by the Centre for OSCE Research (CORE) in Hamburg, Germany and the Swiss Government aimed to conduct compromise researches between the Islamic and social sides, using as a guide the compromise process in Tajikistan, which put an end to a severe civil war of 1992-1997. This activity resulted in a publication, containing a document on “Measures on confidence consolidation” signed by all project participants in December 2003 and a range of articles covering different aspects of the dialogue process.
Master students, politicians and the regional conflict prevention training participants took part in the presentation. Reports were read by Mr. Abdunabi Sattarzoda, Deputy Minister of foreign affairs of Tajikistan, Mr. Faredun Hodizoda, Project Coordinator and Mr. Sultan Hamidov journalist, project participant.
