It was organized by the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP), the OSCE Academy in Bishkek, the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI), and the Near East South Asia Centre for Strategic Studies (NESA) in Washington D.C. Through a series of inter‐linked panel discussions, this seminar identifies and analyses key security trends in Central Asia, with a particular focus on their likely strategic implications. This includes a deep discussion on human security, and the challenges to it coming from socioeconomic tensions and identity conflict, Islam, the Afghan factor in Central Asia, foreign policy dynamics of Central Asian states, China, India, Europe, Russia and the US.
