NewsGraduates of the OSCE Academy's Masters Programme met in Bishkek September 24, 2010 Supported by the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs, the OSCE Academy organized a First Alumni Meeting for graduates of the OSCE Academy's Masters Programme in Political Science (Central Asia). 60 alumni from Central Asia, Russia, Europe and Afghanistan attended the meeting, discussed the current situation in Central Asia, shared their professional experiences and planned alumni activities for 2011-2012. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. T. Djunushaliev and Ambassador A. Tesoriere, the Head of the OSCE Centre in Bishkek and Chair of the Board of Trustees of the OSCE Academy greeted the alumni and reiterated their full support to the institution. The Masters Programme of the OSCE Academy has been operating since 2004 with financial and in-kind contributions by the OSCE and its participating states. The OSCE Academy, hosted by the Government of the Kyrgyz Government, enrolls students from all five Central Asian states on a fully funded basis. The OSCE Academy's alumni successfully integrate into the professional environment of Central Asia. 89% of them stay in the region and work in international organizations, government, academia, civic and private sectors. The OSCE Academy's graduate programme is international values-based and promotes interethnic tolerance and regional dialogue.
