| NewsThe Central Asian Summer School for Journalists 2010August 12, 2010 The Central Asian Summer School for Journalists 2010, organized by OSCE Academy in Bishkek and Deutsche Welle with generous support of the governments of Germany and Finland, has finished its activity. This 12-week Certificate Program aims to give professional journalists the tools and knowledge to produce in-depth reports for print, radio and online media that make news relevant to their Central Asian audience. The goal is to help journalists to improve the quality of broadcasts and publications of the Central Asian media organizations. This year, 12 journalists from printing, radio and online media of the various Central Asian countries (Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan) have taken part in the program. Trainers of the Summer School are international level experts with a wide experience of work from Germany and Switzerland. By the end of the program 6 participants from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan have been invited to the practical seminar organized by Deutsche Welle Akademie in Germany. The seminar will pass from November, 29th till December, 10th in Berlin. During a seminar participants will create the radio materials which will be broadcasted subsequently by all local radio stations.
