The Board of Trustees of the OSCE Academy is a corporate body created to govern the management and operations, of the OSCE Academy . It shall have all the powers and duties specified in the Regulations, and the Charter of Academy, as registered with the Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic on 6 August 2004.
The Board of Trustees is constituted, as noted in the Charter of the OSCE Academy, by five representatives of each of the Central Asian states, two representatives of the OSCE, two representatives of academic institutions respectively academic individuals and three representatives of the donor community.
The OSCE is represented by the Head of the OSCE Centre in Bishkek and a representative of the Conflict Prevention Centre of the OSCE Secretariat in Vienna. The donor community is represented by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Canada, Finland and Germany. The representatives of the five Central Asian states shall be appointed by the respective Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
The trusteeships of the OSCE, donor community and the Central Asian states are institutional and not individual.
